The usurpation of constituent power's meaning on the path of democratization
through Future Forward Party's roadmap and policy

ABSTRACT

This article presents politics and governments' issues as well as public administration
with a necessary indicator which influences in specifying a political structure and prioritizes
citizen's authority, role and duty nowadays. This structure above is a state as well-known as a
political institution that features in importance and influence. This institution is referred as

constitution so the writer presents this topic for making discussion related to constituent
power by questioning citizen that "Whom does this constituent power that we have nowadays
should belong to?" Also, the writer questions to procedure of Thai democracy development
that many preceding problems affecting to Thai politics, which are interfered by dictatorship
every times after using the constitution and having an election, make Thai citizen believe this
is always a life cycle of Thai politics. These questions are separated as two aspects below; 1.
Finding explanation that Thai politics problem occurring from ignorance and neglecters as well
as understanding the constitution's origin, leads to define as a meaning of constitution with

political benefit more than product against old political system. 2. Resolving political problem
by creating a tool and organization for resolving without considering principal and
constitution's origin. Regarding these aspects; Piyabutr Saengkanokkul, a secretary general of
Future Forward Party - the party who keep on moving and driving a topic concerning
constitution solution and political heritage of dictatorship, tries to explain the political
problems that they occur from political structure and institution referring the constitution

which are ignored to define as a product of fracture sign against old political system. Therefore,
Future Forward Party's roadmap and policy focus to build society and citizen's awareness to
constituent power that the citizen is actually the owner of this sovereignty through the
roadmap of democracy development in Thailand.
